‘Where every moment is a learning opportunity’
Homemade edible playdough is used to create the worm tunnels and worms and added loose parts and other items for an extra sensory experience. This tray provides a way to build knowledge about the world, as well as motor skills, counting, and creativity.
This is super simple and so much fun! Get some mud from the garden and some leaves and sticks, possibly collected on a walk and add them to a tray. You can add plastic and wooden insects but in fact, the real-life insects discovered in the mud will be fascinating for the children. Model the names of insects and talk about them. You can create edible mud with coco pops, adding a little bit of water and sweets that may resemble bugs can also be used.
