Rachael- Class Teacher
Hello, lovely to meet you! My name is Rachael and it is my privilege to introduce myself as Lulworth’s class teacher!
I am new to the Montacute Team and have been really enjoying getting to know all members of Lulworth class. It has been incredible to learn my students' interests and to weave these into our lessons.
I have a personal interest in creative learning as I studied Fine Art at University and specialised in Art and Design for my PGCE. Therefore, I am always exploring creative ways for Lulworth members to access all aspects of our curriculum.
We are currently exploring our two texts ‘It’s Okay to Be Different’ by Todd Parr and ‘Kipper’s Birthday’ by Mick Inkpen through our senses! Students have been enjoying learning about our similarities and differences through dress-up, creative expression, music, dance and phonological awareness!
I always endeavour to create a calm and welcoming environment within Lulworth class; where each young person is valued, respected and supported to achieve as much as they can.
I am excited to see the learning journey our current, ‘Ourselves’ project will take us on and I can't wait to explore future projects together!
