‘Where every moment is a learning opportunity’

Main Slideshow

Branksome Home Learning

Our theme for the Spring term is Time Travel. There are lots of activities you can do at home to help develop a better understanding of the passage of time. Cooking is a great activity for this.

Practice using the microwave for making simple snacks, such as soup, noodles, scrambled egg and even mug cakes. Cooking food for the right length of time is an important life skill.

As part of our focus on time travel we will be looking at recipes from different periods of time in history. We have already started making some Wartime recipes.

Here are a few to get you started.

Using Timers

You can use timers to help you with many aspects of day to day life.

You can also time yourself to see how long it takes you to complete daily tasks.

Do you know how long you should brush your teeth for and how often?
