Our Signalong specialist is Lucy, a teaching assistant with a passion for signing. She has been supporting students in an SEN environment since 2012 and is trained in Signalong, a sign supported communication system, which helps children and adults with learning, language and speech difficulties. She is a highly skilled and established Signalong Signing Tutor and enjoys training and sharing her skills to promote signing as a common form of communication to open up a world for those that rely on signing as their key form of communication. She uses her YouTube channel to share resources to learn different Signalong signs in a fun way - through stories, games and songs. You'll often hear her talk about a working hand and supporting hand. Your working hand is your dominant hand - the one you write with. Your supporting hand is your other one.
