Please find attached a number of activities to share with your child at home.  I will add the full symbol instructions on Tuesday morning.  At the heart of our curriculum is communication, reading and community, so reading a book with your child or exploring your local area would be wonderful ways to continue our ethos at home.  In the morning I will add a video to Dojo to welcome students to the day and as a means of keeping in contact with you all.

Having fled from war in their troubled homeland, a boy and his family are living in poverty in a strange country. Food is scarce, so when the boy's father brings home a map instead of bread for supper, at first the boy is furious.

"Me on the Map" was written by Joan Sweeney and illustrated by Annette Cable. This version of the book was published by Crown Publishing, Inc. in 1996.
